A good game lacking depth

Racket Sports is a good game but unfortunately it lacks a depth of gamplay that would have turned it into a great game.
Unlike Wii Sports and the recent Sports Resort, which have some excellent games that require a good amount of time to master. I found it all too easy to beat all of the players in Racket Sports and had won all of the prizes in its Tennis game within a few hours of play.
Sadly, there seems to be more focus on winning different costumes than there does in winning skills. Oddly I seemed to be winning female costumes despite always playing as a male player!?
That said this is a very entertaining game that'll keep a single player amused for hours, and would probably come into its own for multiplayer (haven't tried the multiplayer).
One big win is the excellent graphics and characters, which are a 110% better than the awful, characterless Miis, which look like a bad lego character ripoff.- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)Garbage. Do not waste your life on this.
By JLScotland (1 review) from Scotland , 31 Jan 2011Absolute rubbish. Don't waste your time. Wii Sports tennis is better than this and at east with that game you have other 'sports' to play.- Was this review helpful to you?

Short term fun only
By Squigglybob (1 review) from Poulton-le-Fylde , 13 Apr 2010The main event worth playing on this game is the tennis. The others lack control with regards to your return as they are more instinctive hits, as opposed to skillful returns due to the small courts and speed of gameplay. I would never buy the game, as you will quickly complete all the challenges, but as a short term rental to play with your mates this is a good choice.- Was this review helpful to you?
