Most helpful review
It's just a bit "meh"

Tunnel after tunnel, wave after wave of things to shoot at.
The one thing I really liked about the previous release was roaming around the landscape smashing things up with the hammer. Exploring is sadly lacking in this release.- Was this review helpful to you?

(25)Just meh...
By Darkheart (13 reviews) from Minas Tirith , 17 Feb 2013Yes it is repetitive. You run around and smash and shoot stuff, kill enemies, etc. Got boring quickly. Rushed to finishing it before sending it back. It was fun, but by no means would it be something you would play more than once, or pay to own. Average - 3 stars.- Was this review helpful to you?

Boring. Repetitive. Disappointing...
By MDReview (7 reviews) , 19 Jan 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
I'm afraid I sent this game back after one day of playing. I thoroughly enjoyed the first game with it's incredible open world (And wholly destructible) sandbox style playing. The story wasn't wholly fantastic but I always enjoyed roaming the wastelands to find the next enemy base just so I could level it with mines... So when I found myself continuously inside narrow caves and buildings fighting mundane enemies with boring weaponry (Bar the magnet gun... Fun for 5 minutes) I was pretty disappointed. I was just bored. Plain and simple.- Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoyable Smashfest
By T4uru5R151ng (7 reviews) , 15 Jan 2013I enjoyed this game more than I thought I would. Varied levels, great visuals and of course the series trademark...DESTRUCTION! Most everything can be blownup, ripped to bits or smashed into something else creating new and interseting ways to kill your enemy with the 'Magnet Gun'. The main drawback for me was that as soon as I realised this (it has no limit on use) I didn't really use any of the other 15 or so weapons available other than the SMG for close up work. Anything broken can be repaired (also with no limit on use) with your wristmounted 'Nanoforge'. Dead space style beasties lumber and spring around the levels with enjoyable variation but there are I think maybe only 6 or so different types. 500 Gamerscore at least for a single playthrough for those inclined to boost their scores. A nice way to spend a weekend if not breaking any new ground in FPS games. Recommended.- Was this review helpful to you?

enjoyable shooter.
By magicmatt (72 reviews) , 18 Oct 2012A lot of people are putting this game down, but after playing it through to the end I really quite enjoyed it, there is a variety of different weapons to use, of which you can carry 4 at any one time, the best (or most fun) is the magnet gun which not only can rip down buildings but can also send your enemy s flying into oblivion. the story is good and the grafix average, the aliens do get a bit samey after a while, but the ability to blow everything up and then re-build it is a giggle, and the buying of abilities makes for a nice twist on the shoot em up genre.- Was this review helpful to you?
