A definitive classic for all time

This is a brilliantly dark and unpredictable game but no different from the Gamecube version. Only an idiot would fail to appreciate the quality of atmosphere and puzzles. This video game has been fine-tuned over the years more than any other (bar this wii release, which is no update at all). Play it on 'mountain-climbing' not 'hiking'.- Was this review helpful to you?

By TimB1985 (1 review) , 29 Sep 2011Excellent Game in my opinion, All the atmosphere of the original Resident Evil 1 with enough new stuff to keep the experience player happy that they are playing a new game.
The classic camera angles add to the suspense that the original resident evil games created. New monsters keep you on your toes and for the people who played resident evil 1, when you think you know the answer to the puzzle you enter the room to find that it's not the same puzzle.
The graphics bring the game up to date, but the classic storyline does not fail to grip the hardcore resident evil player. I have played all the resident evil games and Resident EVil 1 was always my favourite, I might just have a new favourite.- Was this review helpful to you?
