Best driving game currently on PSP

I had not bought Ridge Racer with my PSP as I'd bought so many earlier versions on PSX and PS2 that I resented buying yet another version. So once ScreenSelect started doing PSP games I thought I rent it just to see what it was like. Within 1 day I had bought it and sent the rented copy back to ScreenSelect.
It is just fabulous. Whereas TOCA attempts accurate handling dynamics, Ridge just concentrates on delivering viscerous, adrenelin fueled gaming pleasure. As a result Ridge really is un-putdownable. It doesn't add much gameplay wise to the various earlier incarnations - but now you get all the thrills in a pocketable form.
Unless you really hate racing games give it a go - you wont be disappointed.- Was this review helpful to you?

addictive fun
By a customer from hampton court , 22 Mar 2007best driving game I have played on psp, very addictive the only downside is that its gets really hard and have got to a point that I just cannot pass and driving games are my forte, shame you cant play on line, excellent to play with headphones as you can hear the other cars all around you with the combination of the rear view mirrror and the sound it makes for absorbing gameplay.- Was this review helpful to you?

Addictive but hard
By blackshadow (6 reviews) from Coventry , 09 Sep 2006This game is fantastic.. make no mistake. The graphics and realistic handling are fine plus the sounds are good too. I have played this game a while now and consider myself good at it. However after reaching level 41 of the 'max tour' section I have reached a wall where I cannot seem to get any further. So I do consider this part of the game too difficult to use having completed many other racing games. Worth renting or buying though as it's highly addictive and entertaining...- Was this review helpful to you?
