I thought this game was absolutely brilliant, some of the most fun I've ever had playing a Rock Band/Guitar Hero game. The Setlist was missing a few Beatles Classics but most of them are there, and you just never get bored. I played through the game on Expert however, so I am unsure of how dull the lower difficulties are. Definitely a must rent for all Beatles and even Non-Beatles fans! Fantastic.

Not to sound big headed but I am an awesome player of these games in both Rock Band and Guitar Hero formats, but in my opinion Guitar Hero is far superior in terms of game play and fluidity. That being said I am a great admirer of The Beatles but found this game to be lacking in fun somewhat. Although i have to say i never got round to completing this game due to the poor game play (partially as a result of my TV) i just didn't enjoy playing this game. I will admit though the idea of reliving The Beatles steps as their fame increased was a lovely idea but just lacked in execution. My rating 3 out of 5 is mainly because i just didn't like the set up of the game.

Great for anyone who wants to learn a little bit more about The Beatles but as for a game to play fairly mediocre.

  • Very short game that lacks a lot of the well known classic songs

I decided to give this game a rent as I am a keen player of the Rockband game series, but also because I am a Liverpudlian and a fan of The Beatles. The impressions that I got from this game was that it was very short in length (There was actually an achievement to have it completed in 24 hours), with a setlist of only a bout 40 songs, much to my surprise. The game tracks had all been licensed and included classics like 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', 'Twist and Shout' and 'Yellow Submarine', however it was missing a lot of well known songs such as 'Yesterday' and 'Hey Jude' which I was disappointed with. Also, after completing the main story, there was no other good features there to keep you coming back for more. Overall, this game is a decent rent for the weekend and can be completed in around 4 hours, however it is not worth a purchase at all. I'd avoid it if you're not a fan of either The Beatles or the Rockband video game franchise.

  • Dissapointing but what I expected

I liked this game, but I like the Beatles, thats pretty much the only reason. Playing it you realise how forced and speedily this game was produced.

Once you have played the single player game through theres not much to do after.

What I found particularily dissapointing is the lack of hit songs. I was dissapointed that Hey, Jude was missed out, along with Help! and Strawberry Fields.

Graphics were a lot better than expected, Ringo and George and very good and I especially liked how the Beatles evolved through time, going from their infamous haircut right through to their questionable beards.

I'd summarise with OK, but I wouldn't pay money to buy it. You play it for a few days then shelf. I normally keep my rented games for a week or more if i get into it. I received this Tuesday morning and posted it back Wednesday evening. That just about sums up this game.
