Improved sequel !
By SteveDeGamer (10 reviews) from London , 30 Oct 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
Having played the previous Saw game. There's been quite a few adjustments. The obvious change is the combat engine. They've replaced the manual combat to 'quick time events'. Another change was defusing fuse boxes, gas boxes, etc. It's a bit more tricky and challenging! Which brings me to the main puzzles you'll come across. I've noticed there a lot more harder and longer this time round. I won't spoil them, but some are pretty confusing and will have you on a particular section for roughly 1 hour, if your not good at solving things.
I cannot tell you if the story is related to a particular Saw movie, but it's well put together. It's about 10-15 hours long, for the average gamer! Yeah* It's longer then the first.
Altogether. It's a great fun game. It's also better then the first, and you won't regret giving it a rent out.- Was this review helpful to you?

(19)Don't get this get the first one!
By a customer , 23 May 2012if you played saw 1 and your thinking of getting this because you enjoyed the first, like myself, then dont! you will be dissapointed, combat is very different, lock picking, door traps etc. I'll admit its alot more challenging but the game feels like your not really playing your just pressing buttons now and then to trigger different outcomes : /
overall i giveit a 2. 5 out of 10, very poor!- Was this review helpful to you?

meh, could be better
By raekwaan (5 reviews) from Birmingham , 25 Nov 2011This game has some good ideas and some not so good ones. Very mini-game based with nothing in between. The combat system from the first game replaced with quick time events as are a third of the doors you open. A little more thought to the traps and inevitable death scenes and less walking across beams (most annoying aspect of the game for me) and maybe it could have got another star. The story fits well into the saw franchise but lack of variety and unimaginative (albeit very easy) achievements and over use of q.t.e's and walking across beams forces me to give it 2 stars.
time to 1000 gamerscore - 8 hours and two playthroughs.- Was this review helpful to you?

It's ok....just
By riggerz88 (14 reviews) from sutton coldfield , 22 Sep 2011For a poor game it was actually ok, minus the clunky controls and button pressing scenes, not to mention the ball ache that is walking across beams!- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't Bother
By dusty-plums (1 review) , 05 Sep 2011Just don't bother. What a load of rubbish!! The first Saw game was bad enough but this sequel is probably worse. Poor graphics, poor gameplay and utterly boring and useless. Avoid like the plague!!!- Was this review helpful to you?

Same old, same old
By Pandora274 (3 reviews) , 30 Aug 2011Just a re-hash of the original game. Got boring very quickly. Didn't really involve much brain power and is barely good enough to warrant one play-through.- Was this review helpful to you?
