Scarface: The World is Yours

Considering it is an xbox title. I think it was pretty good for the platform. I took over Little Havana. But things went dowhill in Downtown. I was stuck on one mission for too long. And actually got exhausted. Just couldnt take over the Babylon club. Looks impossible and absolute biast. So decided to return it. It wont live on too long in my memmroy like GTA IV and other great free roaming titles

Anyone whose come across one of my reviews before (which is probably no one.....) will have noticed they are usually long,ranty and go into great depth, this will be no exception as the flaws in this game are endless! while I usually review a game in the format of talking about all the things that worked then all that didn't before weighing up both sides to conclude whether the game is worth playing this review will take on a different style. The reason being is that I can only think of about 2 good things and while these 2 things are very well done they come no where close to compensating for the numerous negative aspects of this truly terrible game. So what you'll find here is the longest list of reasons available why NOT to get this game. Ok now i may as well point out what's good about this game for what its worth the voice acting is great with several members of the original cast, and also the shooting is quite fun if you overlook the awful controls and ineffective auto aim. The game tells you where every bullet hits on an enemies body which is pretty funny and the enemies die in a very cool way, limbs fly off heads explode e.t.c. you get the gory picture..... but as I've said you cant overlook the negatives because of these things in the same way you can't let off a rapist because he has nice teeth, and just like a rapist this game deserves all the condemnation it gets! if your renting games for the old Xbox then I'd still tell you not to rent this as its a dreadful disappointing game, but maybe you can overlook what im saying cos I'm mainly talking to 360 owners here who found themselves in a similar position to me where there was loads of games on the old Xbox or Ps2 which you always intended to get but then the 360 came along and you never got chance to play these games first time round, for me this was one game amongst many which I felt I'd missed out on so now that I've a lot of time on my hands throughout the college holidays I thought what better time to catch up on some of the games i missed out on first time around. now I'll only say this once, no actually I'll say it twice so it really gets through to you. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME THIS GAME IS AWFUL. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME THIS GAME IS AWFUL. so awful in fact I removed several other original Xbox titles from my rental list as I'd rather think I'd missed out on a good game then play a crap one. If you've seen the film or know the storyline then you'll actually be offended by the very premise of the plot, if you haven't seen the film but plan to then you better stop reading now. The game takes place after the gun fight in the mansion and Scarface aka Tony Montana is alive....WTF!! who ever thought this up needs to be locked up for crimes against cinema. and it gets worse, the game is all about regaining your empire from the bottom, how does this work you ask??? it doesn't it crashes and burns like almost every other movie- game tie in! as we all know really Tony had to die because he'd basically gone mad with power over run by greed and destroyed himself and everyone he loved conveying the films obvious message of what happens to the guy who never stops wanting.... so we all agree amazing classic cult movie. Now how the movie license of such a great film got into the hands of those fools working at Radical Entertainment ( I'm thinking the same as you, who???) i don't know. i could only bring myself to play this for an hour before sending it back i don't see why they even bothered to make, its one step back from GTA vice city, and GTA is essentially the unofficial Scarface games, building your way to the top a criminal empire from scratch etcetera etcetera....this was never going to be better then GTA or out sell it so why did they needless rip apart one of the greatest films of all time?? the graphics are poor, the controls are useless, the character models are pitiful, the plot is ridiculous and insulting, the car handling leaves a lot to be desired as does the missions which are repetitive and out of character to what Tony Montana would do, not that he could do any of them because he's frickin DEAD!!! and even if he wasn't he'd be a distraught washed up coke head...... the way police are incorporated into the game sucks , WTF is a balls meter??? why the hell can you be invincible at certain points in the game when it was such a gritty realistic film. Pimp my mansion, why oh why is that part of the game? the sound (bar the soundtrack which is actually quite good) is terrible. why the hell is Ricky Gervais in it??? I'm a big fan but is this an obvious attempt to increase sales or what. 'say hello to my little friend' is only used once in the film so why does the game character say it 1000 times, are they milking the catch phrases or what. I could go on for longer but talking about is just making me angry again like i got when i played it, other 'reviewers' on here have really highly rated this game, i have to ask the question what were they thinking??? have you seen the moive?? do you play other games??? if you have then no way would you give this 5 stars you bunch of

morons for god sake its clearly a terrible game from the outset, yes I know its two years old but still two years ago I'd of been disappointed as well, here's just a few things people have said 'This game is brilliant' No customer from Plymouth its really not!! name me 5 brilliant things about this game?? 'Absolutly top class is all that needs to be said, make sure you have got an extra 30 quid cause your going to buy this when you send it back.' well actually i think what you mean is 'absolutely' there's a spell checker on here...use it. Also all that needs to be said is DON'T rent this awful game that i wouldn't take £30 to play. Finally 'loved this game so much i went out and bought it i recommend this to any xbox gamers' what are you an idiot?? firstly how the hell can you 'love' a game secondly i wouldn't recommend this to ANYONE well maybe people addicted to disappointment but apart from that i wouldn't put anybody through this painful badly designed game! for my closing point i refer you to my title, 'A prime example of how to kill a great movie!' its true this is the worst film based game I've ever played and if we just lap up the disappointment and mediocrity of these appalling rip off's then we're just encouraging developers to go out and murder other classic films, so lets all just avoid these abominations until developers realise they are going to have to go out and think up their own material. ( I apologise for this out of character rather angry, borderline aggressive review but if there going to make rubbish games what do you expect, next time hopefully it will be happy faces all round )
