Fun, but not perfect.

Definitely more fun than Skate 2, graphics seem sharper, and controls are much tighter. The 'easy' controls can be more forgiving for younger players too. Personally, I found the single player content fun, but somewhat brief, finishing the majority of the challenges in a weekend.
The party Play, my main draw in Skate 2, is now only available as an online feature, rather than a 'pass the controller' sofa-fest. I've read that offline multiplayer is available as DLC, but, like the other online features, requires the EA code shipped with the game at retail, so, as a rental, isn't available.
So if you're looking for multiplayer fun, give Skate 2 a shot over Skate 3.
Great game, worth a rent over a weekend, and definitely much better than the stagnant THPS series.- Was this review helpful to you?

Like Skateboarding? Love Skate 3
By CallumSandhu (2 reviews) , 13 Mar 2013No way you can get bored! i like to skate but im no good an if im honest i picked up a few things just playing this game. i like any game that you can create your own player, AND you can pick a clothes, and customize your board. this game is sick.. end of!- Was this review helpful to you?

By k20honda (30 reviews) from Edinburgh , 07 Nov 2011good enjoyable game, takes a little getting used to the controls etc, defo not as simple as tony hawks, but fun game and rewarding if you manage to pull of those sick combos !- Was this review helpful to you?
