Just brilliant! I am not even far into the game but I am loving it. Looking at the upgrades, i think it will be even more fun by the end. Fun, stylish and some pretty unique aspects... How games should be! (Before Skyrim, I would have given it 5/5)

    SLEEPING DOGS

Sleeping Dogs catapults players into the role of undercover cop Wei Shen, tasked with taking down one of the worlds most fearsome criminal organisations from the inside... the Hong Kong Triads. As players explore the bustling and crowded Hong Kong island, through its neon-lit side streets and sprawling street markets, an incredible story unfolds of loyalty and betrayal, where Wei begins to question his own motives as he is sucked in deeper than he could ever imagine.

Offering players an island packed with action, every street corner, market stall, harbour dock or city skyscraper can become an opportunity for intense shoot-outs, adrenaline-fuelled street races and intense, brutal martial arts combat. Featuring one of the most intuitive and imaginative combat systems, Sleeping Dogs empowers players to perform an extensive set of martial arts moves, singlehandedly taking on numerous opponents. Players perform bone-crunching kicks and combos, vicious counters and a cinematic set of environmental takedowns making use of countless real-world items from circular saws to phone booths, incinerators to refrigerator doors.

First off Id been waiting a while for this one to be sent out to me after seeing some video review and seeing how well it scored on other websites.

Little did I know though how much of my time this game would actually take up and that I would want to keep playing it to see what happened in the story next.

    !!!SPOILER!!!

You play as Wei a cop sent under cover in your old stomping ground trying to infiltrate the Triads that run the Island, You meet up with an old friend that introduces you to one of the bosses then you work your way up earning his and the gangs trust whilst also reporting your finding back to HKPD.

As well as Triad missions there are investigations that you can do that are usually split into 3/4 segments and are tied in to the main story as well

But working through the Triad Mission is where the meat of the story is, YOu work you way up to meet Triad Leaders and keep moving to become a key figure in the organisation until its climactic end which i wont spoil!!

Graphics are really good for this title and through out my 70+ hour game play It only crashed twice but after a reset it ran smoothly again

Sound is equally as good, as your cruising round the island you here pedestrians shouting out and talking to one another, it does become repetitive but its a nice touch that they didn't have to put in

The only down fall is the radio stations, they are really poor and I know there meat to reflect the surrounding but they're terrible!

Game play is really good, the combat system is basic but effective and can be upgraded by progressing through both story modes and collecting jade statues that give you extra moves to smash tour opponent in the face

You have also Health shire to find and cameras and lock boxes but these are easily found once you went on a date with the character that unlocks there location on the map

There is also a bit of street racing that can be done and again it a nice distraction from the main story line but If you bought the best car/bike for that class then the race is a cake walk

On vehicles there are vendor dotted through out the Island that sell a variety of cars and bikes that once bought are stored in you garage.

Also to add on the vehicle you can buy clothes that once you've bought the full set of a particular set then it gives you an added boost

All in all I loved this game and found it frustrating at time when i didn't have the cash to but that jacket that matched up with the trousers and shoes id bought,

Great game that Id recommend any one to give try

wasn't a bad game wish it was longer though.

and after you complete the game then thats it nothing really left to do, however, a good game for story. the free running is good and the combat controls are good so all round i would say its a pretty good game :)

This game is nothing that has not been done before but blends the dark world of Hong-Kong Triads, Police investigation, and a lead character that you really get into the shoes of, Wei Shen. In short its simple but effective, absaloutly hilarious sometimes and fun to play.
