Sniper Elite V2

Sniper elite is an excellent third person shooter and one of my favourite games in 2012, I have played this on PC since it was released and I must say the Xbox version is also a very good game too. One advantage the xbox has over PC is that it is much easier to see the enemy on a 32 inch TV as opposed to a 24 inch monitor, however I did like both games and would give them an equal score of 5 stars.

Can't recommend this game enough Sniper elite V2 offers many many hours of addictive gameplay and is probably one of the best third person WW2 games ever made, anyone who played the original Medal of Honor games will love this title as it is a very similar type of game even though it is a third person shooter, Sniper Elite V2 is a realistic and atmospheric title and a welcome break from the all too samey CoD & Clone family of shooters which saturate this genre.

For best results set difficulty to Sniper Elite after you have completed the game on any of the easier difficulty settings. The replayability for this game for me personally is very good.

The average gamer would probably complete the main campaign and challenges in around 12-14 hours on normal difficulty, but this game offers a stiff challenge to even the very best gamers and will take at least 25-30 hours to complete on Sniper Elite difficulty.

The thing I liked most about this great game is you never feel it's ripping you off even on the hardest setting usually when you die in game its because you made a tactical error or a mistake. The realisim in Sniper Elite V2 is superb as even on the highest difficulty it still only takes one great shot to kill the enemy unlike many other shooters that simply make your enemy almost impossible to dispatch.

All in all Sniper Elite V2 will appeal more to the tactically minded gamer but can be played run in gun style too (easier difficulty only), The developer Rebellion deserves very high praise in my opinion as this game offers so much more than most current titles and you can see a lot of time and attention to detail has been spent making this great game.

Long review (I know) but this game was entitled to it.

Sniper Elite V2 = Brilliant Game experience

This was fun. You have some scope (sorry) to chose stealth or gung ho approaches.

The AI isn't totally stupid, although you can make your enemies play into your hands a lot of the time if you plan ahead.

Some minor glitches, but nothing bad enough to take the fun out of things.

The game re-writes history so bear that in mind.

The sniping becomes more fun as you get better at it, but there is also close quarters combat involved should you choose.

Give it a go. You may be pleasantly surprised.

This is a great game if you do it correctly because if you miss your shot by firing too late or too early or just missing completly, because if you screw it up by getting noticed (alot of stealth) you may find yourself loading last checkpoint over and over again. So only play if you love sniping and stealth.

the game has its good qualities such as the slow motion xray shots, but thats about it, the gameplay is very clunky at times along with the awkward contoles can make for some very frustrating gaming. i made it all the way to the last level 'clear the enemy sniper teams' and at this stage i turned it off in sheer pure red eyed hulk rage, ive not been this angry at a game in a long time. the game is defferant and fun for a while..but the clunky controles, bland graphics, repeating scenery all add up to a pretty dull experience. between this and sniper ghost warrior, id have to say sniper ghost warrior was the funner of the two, the better looking of the two and the most enjoyable of the two.

Good game overall, theres no other game like it, which is what I wanted. A tiny bit repetitive but the game features makes up for it, the stealth aspect to the game is good, by making your way past silently or take them out, its up to you. Quite a decent length. If you like snipers/stealth/WWII... then this is the game for you.
