like the look of this sniper game?, read this first, trust me.

I am a keen gamer and never played on the first sniper ghost warrior so I had no idea what I was letting myself in for, but what I hoped for was a real sneak around type game that you really have to use your imagination on and for it to be able to really give you a experience of what a sniper should be like in the way of movement, position, wind factor etc. Im sure that's what fans of sniper games are after too, much like the sniper elite v2 game that was out just under a year ago. That game was fantastic and really recommend that game to any sniper enthusiast, but this game, no. Sure it has its sneak around factor but not in the way you want, the control of the game character is too robotic and the whole game feels a little low budget in the movement of most things around you from the movement of the sniper to the environment around you when you play. It reminds me very much of call of duty 3 which has bad graphics compared to what we have today, but the overall game play is similar and you don't have anything new to look forward to. As for the story itself, it took me a few hours to finish the game at 100% and on the hardest difficulty and there's no difference with the fact that i might just be good at this game, because my father did exactly the same as me. a real game that has had passion, time and effort put into it should not be that easy to complete or be that short. to get this game whether it be to rent or to buy would be a great waste of money and you will be sorry to have had to spend money after playing such a disappointment. officaily the worst game i have ever played. if you are looking for a good sniper game, its not here. i have talked about all the bad parts of this game so here is what was the best part for me. getting rid of the game.- Was this review helpful to you?

By PMard (4 reviews) , 03 Jun 2013If you do rent this game, and you load up the first level, like me you may feel the compulsion to check your display settings. Be rest assured however your TV and cables are fine, the frame rate on this game is really that bad. However this seems to get a little better further into the game as the flickbook appears to turn a little faster once your thumbs have warmed up. In terms of the graphics, put simply, good PS2. The level design also leaves much to be desired with a linearity that puts God of War to shame as if you shoot the incorrect target, regardless of whether anyone else is looking at them, they will be alerted. This makes it infuriating on hard when you want to ditch the hand holding of the lower difficulties. Not only this but the markers on the sights are inaccurate and the scale varies from one mission to the next, causing you to have to make a tracer shot before quickly adjusting for the kill. A couple of other niggles include the uncanny likeness of the main character to the one from sniper elite V2 and sudden changes of clothing to and from the gilly suit in the last act. However, when you pull of a clean sweep on hard you feel satisfied and enjoyment can be had. Therefore for 6 hours of amusement, why not? Just don't get your hopes up when it says it was 'achieved' by cry engine 3.- Was this review helpful to you?

Only problem is the host in multiplayer.
By Schroder (2 reviews) , 21 May 2013I really liked the campaign but it can be a little short for some people. the only problem with the multiplayer is that the host can leave and it ruins the game play as rounds are around 19 minutes long so the host quitting with 3 minutes left makes you feel you played for nothing. Its a fun game and spotting people and killing them in multiplayer feels very rewarding.- Was this review helpful to you?
