    [Highly rated reviewer]

Back in the early 1990's, it was Sonic the Hedgehog that got me into buying the Sega Megadrive. I was in the queue at my local game shop on Sonic twosday and Sonic 3rds day.

With this in mind, I was really looking forward to reliving my past.

However, within 20 minutes of playing this compilation I was bored. Time has not been so kind to young Sonic. The games are very easy and repetitive. The Game Gear games aren't even worth looking at.

If you are a massive Sonic fan then this is worth playing purely for sentimental reasons. If you have not played Sonic before, forget it.

  • Satisfied a little bit of my lost childhood!

This was one of the first ps2 games I rented from LoveFilm, and chose it mainly as I remember being addicted to it as a console kid! I eagerly awaited its arrival and was straight in front of the TV when it appeared.

The memories came flooding back! Wow it was good in its time, but certainly hasn't aged well!

Only managed to play it for a few hours on and off, and decided to send it back! I did not want the memory tarnished, as up against nowadays games it looks naff!

Served its purpose, have now ordered 'Shadow' to see if this is a hit.
