Exciting and Lavish

There's always going to be something a little disappointing about PSP ports of big big games. No doubt on the wii this game looks gorgeous, with its powerful engine driving it forward. There's none of that on the PSP. I mean, the game looks wonderful, really brilliant, but there's nothing that really made me stop and look at it... which I did many times on God of War, Chains of Olympus. There are many similarities to that game. The character animations are flawless, but nothing new, and the button press sequences at the end of Boss fights are amazing, but again, very God of War-y.
This game allows you to Unleash the Force, and it does that with gusto. All of the incredibly evil moves that you see Darth Vader doing in the film series you can pull off here. You can throw people around. You can hoist them into the air and choke them. You can blast them with lightning. This all looks great, and gives you a real sense of power, but at no point do you feel that you are the most powerful thing in the room, which I expected from a Sith Lord.
I'm no great fan of Star Wars, but I know the story, and the ending (which I won't spoil,) ties into the series really well. The AI is good, but nothing special, and the voice acting is excellent.
A worthy addition to any collection, provided you don't mind a short main story, and a little brother version of what you'd get elswhere.- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)for PSP a good game
By Basil4952 (62 reviews) from Leeds, England , 06 Feb 2011I really enjoyed this game on the PSP even though I didn't enjoy it on the PS3. Decent graphics and storyline but the cutscene's do go on a bit.- Was this review helpful to you?
