Most helpful review
very poor overall
By a customer from Cambs , 08 Nov 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
Not sure what has happened to the series, the 1 on 1 fighting is still good but the rest of the game feels old. The new scenario mode is rubbish brawler mode, the controls handle like some old ps1 game and you are forced to play this to see the fighters opening and ending in the arena area (in old games you use to just play it like in arcade) The end boss in arcade is insanely cheap and you have use your own cheap moves to beat him.
The graphics are mixed, the stages look amazing but the character faces look as not as good as SC4. Add long load times to the mess. Its taken years to get here and does not play that well. 3 years ago (or so), it might have been cutting edge but its lacking compared to recent games- Was this review helpful to you?

(28)Its no tekken tag!
By cosmooo (5 reviews) from Hull , 24 Nov 2011I only really played this game for a hour and I was disappointed. I remember enjoying Tekken tag on the PS2 but it just wasn't as good as I remember this time round.
Another thing about this game I disliked is the amount of loading screens when playing the story mode.
Nah this one isn't for me...- Was this review helpful to you?

Pants offline, superb online
By Robert1985 (8 reviews) , 09 Jul 2011Was really excited about this game coming out and when it finally came i was so let down. The scenario mode on this game is truely awful, however the online mode for this game is fantastic. The online mode is super fast and the graphics on the game are brilliant, all i did when i had this game was play online as the scenario mode is that bad hence why i only gave it 2 starts because i was hoping for much more.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not the classic Tekken we all know and love...
By a customer , 11 Apr 2011The graphics are excellent, if you're playing on a HD television; its even better. However, the gameplay is so far away from what I know as Tekken. The scenario mode cutscenes drag on for far too long, it felt like I was watching a film and not playing a game. In one hour, I'd played the game for no less than 10 minutes and must've watched at least 45 minutes worth of cutscenes!- Thats no word of an exaggeration either!
The controls are disjointed and awkward, with it seemingly being a button-masher, you often just find your character flailing at thin-air and not even coming close to hitting the enemy. The Arcade Mode is still there but you don't get any achievements for completing it and it seems it was just thrown in there to appease original fans- the frustrating controls are also apparant making this a very awkward game to play.
It might be worth a rent, but if its classic Tekken you're after, I wouldn't even bother.- Was this review helpful to you?
