this has to be by far the best spiderman game i have played the web swinging mechanics are simple yet effective moving around the city is easy and fun and with the new web rush feature makes it exciting matching spidey jump from point to point with style combat is very much like batmans arkham series very fluid and easy to use this is a game for all ages and all fans of the spidey series you can even download dlc to play as stan lee/rhino from XBLA or PSN a must have rent or buy- Was this review helpful to you?

(43)Well, I wasn't expecting that
By Brilliance (20 reviews) , 13 Jun 2013I wasn't expecting much from the Amazing Spiderman but it is actually better than I expected. The main storyline isn't very long but there are plenty of side missions to keep you entertained in the meantime. There is a reletively large area to free roam (well, swing) and there is a lot to see in the islandof Manhattan. There are a lot of references to Spiderman's villains that weren't in the game itself like Hydroman, Sandman and Mister Negative. The game, itself has a wide range of villains that have been reimagined to connect more to the audience of now adays. The action scenes and the stealth scenes are very similar to the Batman Arkham games which is slightly not as original as some action scenes. Amazing Spiderman is a good game, which is more than I could say about the movie. The problem is, the voice actors are not the same as the actors in the movie and the movement of the mouths are out of time from the actual speech most of the time. I think I am the only person who doesn't like it

All the other reviews praise this game in one way or another but I preferred the first Spider-man movie games (EVEN NUMBER ONE!!!) to this. The storyline bored me, spent so long just trying to work stuff out in missions rather than having fun swinging through New York. The first missions bored me so much with the amount of times I had to crawl through vents and what ever. I did not really like the new swinging system and the web rush was ok i guess. Just my personal opinion. Rent it for yourself to see what you think.- Was this review helpful to you?

Decent Spidey Game

My gripe with this game is the side missions become very repetitive and lose there fun factor pretty fast. I would recommend game for a rent and stick it on hard mode because it is pretty easy on the other settings.- Was this review helpful to you?
