Dissapointing

If your a true Tiger Woods fan dont get ths the reason is you only get about 5 courses and the options are very limited.
Online this game is very jumpy which spoils the whole experience.
If your going to get a TW then stick with 07- Was this review helpful to you?

(12)Simply poor
By Minty8 (196 reviews) from Randalstown, Antrim , 18 Jul 2009Before you read below, i should mention two things I am writing this in 09 and Im not a big golf fan I just had liked previous golf titles.
I got this game sent out to me and my god was it crap. There was a number of things that bugged me, one was that since i last played a golf game, they have now introduced this use the analogue stick to swing your golf club, which sounds smart but I cant tell you just how many times I thought ok, just a nice wee chip to dink it beside the hole, and ended up either chipping it less than 1m in front of me, or the opposite of smacking it well past the hole and out of bounds, simply because i found the swing a bit hard to use as you cant really see what power you are swinging the shot at. I dont know if the newer versions are any better but this was shockingly frustrating.
Also when it came to potting you were able to check what angle you should most likely hit the ball at to get it to go into the hole, but this brought up two more problems, one being that you didn't really have a line in front of you to judge if you were really getting the angle you thought you should and two, because of the power problem if you didn't hit it at the right power the angle was pointless anyway as too light and it wasn't going to reach the hole, and to heavy and the hill will carry it further away from the hole than you just were at.
All in all i found this frustrating and due to the achievements being pretty much all online (And knowing im playing an older version so noone was online to do them against) about 800 of the points were never going to be got for me. And the rest were ALL like score 100 birdies and score 50 eagles, which going by how frustrating it was, i think i got 3 birdies in the 18 holes in my first game, i knew i'd be playing a while just to get a simple small achievement. Being sent back the same day to love film needless to say.- Was this review helpful to you?

Get the 07 Version
By Puressence (9 reviews) from Sheffield , 15 Apr 2008Having now played all three incarnations of 'Tiger' on the 360 this one comes a very poor third. If you're after a good game of golf and some easier achievements get the 07 version. The 08 version is too glitchy, and this version to outdated.- Was this review helpful to you?

Tiger
By a customer from southampton , 08 Jun 2007Good game and quite easy to get the hang of, even without the instructions. Just a shame most of the achievements are online, and therefore being as there are newer vesions out, you won't find many people to play against.- Was this review helpful to you?
