This is a nice change from the usual shooter. It is definitely more to the online side & as this title needs a online pass its not the best rental but the campaign is still a good one.
the developers have spent more time on the actual game play than the graphics and in my opinion it was time well spent, a good game all in all.
i will be buying this just so i can take full advantage of the online side- Was this review helpful to you?

Broken And Buggy (Avoid).
By CheekyCharlie (5 reviews) from Bristol , 29 Apr 2013I first played this game when it was in beta stage of it's development but avoided it due to disappointing game-play. However, I decided to give this game a second chance, but it still failed to deliver a fun experience. This game still as bugs which where present in the beta which Ubisoft have still failed to address. After about a dozen freezes/crashes over a weekend, it corrupted it's game save and all progress was lost. (XBOX 360). At first I thought it was my console, but after asking around in some forums, It was confirmed to me the crashes are game related and not my console. The game play and story was very linear when it did work, AI was very dumb and tactical choices where very limited. Highlight of this game is the weapon customization. This game also requires a multi-player pass, in order to level up past Rank 5. But this game doesn't have a large enough community nor enough game modes to justify a pass. Multi-player passes are meant to be used to maintain severs (So Ubi claims) but I experienced lag & poor hit detection when play this game over XBL. Very disappointing game considering the hours of fun and replay value the older GR games had.- Was this review helpful to you?

A great co-op game
By Muzzler (8 reviews) from Limavady , 10 Apr 2013This game is best played with friends without a doubt. A great co-op game but the actually plot line is beyond awful but you don't actually care as the missions are fun. The online as far as I have played is quite good to but I was peeved at having to pay for an online pass to play online or to even play co-op, very uncool.- Was this review helpful to you?

Disappointing and difficult to play
By Awesomecake (1 review) , 05 Apr 2013I was looking forward to playing this game from all the positive things I had heard about it. I only played it for the singleplayer, and played it solo. Sadly, I found the game near impossible to play. First off, it bored me to tears. Everything was so slow and clunky. The sections where you are supposed to be stealthy are either badly put together, or I wasn't doing anything right. It took me several attempts to kill just one person without anyone seeing, no matter how I positioned myself or how long I waited. It seems like you are supposed to do things in a specific order, but it's near impossible to know what that order is. Granted, there were some decent action parts, but they were nothing to sing about. The camera was constantly moving around, and while yes, it was cinematic, it also made me feel like I had no control at all. The game basically walks for you, and aims where you need to aim. Yes, other games do this sometimes, but not as often or to the degree that this game does. The second point is the poor controls. Everything seems like a clunky version of the Gears of War controls. The cover system is interesting, but I constantly found myself breaking cover accidentally, due to pressing the wrong button at the wrong time. The game also hinges progression on your conservation of ammo and equipment. There were several points where I had to shoot someone specific, but had no bullets, or had to throw a sensor grenade, but had already used them up prior to that. Ammo points were either few and far between, or just hard to spot. I love wandering around in games, so Im sure I would have seen any that were hidden around. I did like some of the points of the game. The graphics werent bad, and I liked the HUD effects where you can see information about your location in the sky and such. The gun customisation was pretty good, and I like how you can jump into a firing range to see how the gun behaves without much loading time or backing out of any menus. I gave up on the game after a few hours. I couldnt deal with the controls, and the fact that you try and be stealthy, but if you dont do everything in a specific order with specific guns at specific times, everything fails. And it never tells you what order to do things in.- Was this review helpful to you?
