Straightforward and simple but good fun

I like flying gams and so I decided to rent this and I must say looking at the reviews I wasn't expecting a great deal, however I was happily surprised as it turned out to be good fun, flash backs to the movie with the music in parts too:-) The flying is straightforward and simple to get the hang of although I did invert the Y axis. The dogfights were a novel twist on things and were quite good fun, at times you had to follow instructions on the screen in tiem to ge the enemy in yuor sights or keep with them,which I actually thought worked well but at times was annoying when I was just about to launch a missle and take them down. Nice selection of planes to use, not the biggest but you unlock more as you play. My only gripe was the amount of amount of protect/escort missions which wind up the majority of people. But overall I enjoyed it and it is definitely worth a rent if you like fast flying action games.. I don't know why people say the graphics are horrible, I thought they were fine and a game is made by gameplay and not graphics after all we all have played games which look lovely but have zero game play.- Was this review helpful to you?

By broxybear (4 reviews) , 28 Jun 2012ok game . graphics are a little dated but overall i had a decent time playing it . this game is not in the same league as ace combat or even HAWX but if your a fan of a flight arcade game then i think you may enjoy this game . ! other problem is a glitched achievement for firing every weapon is unobtainable and does not look like i will be patched- Was this review helpful to you?

Not a patch on Tom Clancy's HAWX

The controls for the plane itself are too simple (only use one analog stick), it is a lot of pressing buttons or using the analog stick at the right time when the screeen prompts you.
The other big bug bear is that you can't play the multiplayer. The game when bought comes with an unlock code but on a rental copy you have to spend hundreds of microsoft points to unlock it. Great way to limit the number of online players!!
This game is only worth a rent to complete the story mode to increase your gamerscore- Was this review helpful to you?

Follow the onscreen buttons.....

Horrid, horrid graphics
