I love this game! I have a few-week old baby and am trying to get back into shape. This doesn't promise miracles, but it's a fun and useful way to exercise when you can't get out of the house (who said consoles were making us obese?).

I've only had it since Friday (5 days) and yet I don't know how I did without it. The game comes bundled with a wii fit board, which is like a set of scales the size of an opened magazine. It's surprisingly responsive and can measure the most minute of details, but enough of the techie stuff - is the game actually fun?

    Yes.

However - my one reservation is that once I've unlocked all the exercises/games, will I still find it interesting enough to come back every day?

The exercises are broken down into four categories, aerobic, yoga, muscle workouts, and balance games. The yoga uses the board to give you feedback on how your centre of gravity is lying, aiming for better posture. The muscle workouts are just that - focussing on specific areas, and you can mix and match to suit what you want to target. You are guided through the yoga and muscles by a virtual instructor, easy to follow, although their chattiness gets on my wick a bit. Aerobic exercise is great fun, with step, boxing, running (yes, I was cynical, but it works), and even hula-hooping (my favourite!). The balance games are a bit of silliness but all involve thrashing your body around to achieve results.

I think the most useful exercise so far is the 'free step', which is basically stepping on and off the board to a ticking coming out of the wii-mote, along with the odd encouraging comment. It tells you when you reach your target (you set it, along with the pace), and you can change over to another channel on your tv such as mtv or another music channel, and step away to the music (or gardeners world if you're so inclined).

Oh, and you can password-protect your weight results if you need to!

Well worth buying, if only to keep beating your husband at ski-jumping, mwah ha ha ha.

I purchased the wii fit when it first came out (I think around april 08), I use it with my daughter (8 years) and it is fun, it has a slight compettive edge to it but for me nothing to take too serious. I found the yoga the best as pilates and yoga is something that I detest doing at the sports centre but doing it on the fit in little bite size sessions is much better. I'm really not sure who I personally would say this is aimed at. When I first got this I was doing alot of exercise at the gym and classes and there is no way that I would of got the same benefit from doing just the fit that I did from say a spinning or bodypump class. For me it is more for fun as I am used to hard classes, I think this is a good introduction for people who do not exercise regulary and who haven't the confindence to join classes. For about the first 5-6 months we were on it nearly everyday, that is not the case now. I am expecting baby 3 so I shall see how handy it is after baby arrives.

today i went on the game wii fit, it was really good, but it is just like warioware with the poses and games except the diffrence. Its more money, because you have to have the wii balance board i will recomend it to some people, but not to others.
