WipEout 2048 - PS Vita

V good game, it has features for the Vita that make it stand out from normal wipeout games such as gyro steering (using the vita to steer) Graphics are good and game play good. Challenges in the game keep you entertained. As I said in the title its like Mario kart but on steriods!!! You throw a red shell in Mario, you fire a heat seeking missle here. Whats that Mario a Banana - NO have a land mine!

Excellent game all round especially with the now added DLC of the PS3 games wipeout HD and wipeout Fury, best of all this DLC is free for anyone who owns the PS3 games already.

Excellent graphics and fluid game play make this game just as good as its PS3 counterparts. Loading times are slightly long however this is only a minor flaw compared to its many positives.

Score another hit for the Playstation Vita's stellar launch lineup. This is no-holds barred futuristic racing. The wipeout games have always had a certain undefinable sense of cool and hardcore appeal and this game is no different, with brilliant tracks and a brilliant pumping soundtrack (I broke into a wide grin when Invaders Must Die by the prodigy kicked in. Awesome!)

Graphically, the game is a stunner. The level of detail on the trackside and in the ships and textures is simply astounding, and it all moves at the incredible wipeout speeds the series is known for.

There are a couple of tiny flies in the ointment. One is that the framerate is locked at 30. After wipeout HDs silky-smooth sixty frames per second responsiveness this does feel a tad unfortunate. However, you'll soon adjust and the framerate is much better than wipeout pure or pulse on the PSP (games which were rightly celebrated for bringing the classic series back from the wilderness).

The singleplayer campaign is also a llittle sparse, but the addition of the online campaign more than compensates (you will need an online pass for this though, so beware!)

This game comes unreservedly recommended to all Vita owners and Wipeout fans. Its just superb!

Pros:

Great game. Amazing graphics. Nice soundtrack. Lengthy. Challenging.

Cons:

Lengthy loading times. Internet is needed to update game to version 1. 01. Repetitive music. Tracks get a bit boring after a while.
