West swaps The Wire for London stage
The Wire star Dominic West is to take a break from filming the hit U.S. TV show to return to the London theatre scene - with a role in a West End play. The actor won a coveted Ian Charleson award in 1996 for his performance in Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. And now, after carving out a successful career in America, West is set to return to his roots with a role in a new adaptation of Life Is A Dream by 17th century Spanish playwright Pedro Calderon de la Barca. The play, at London's Donmar Warehouse, will begin its month-long run in October (09). Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
