Williams to star in Man of the Year

Robin Williams is set to star in upcoming movie Man of the Year.

Variety reports that Williams, who starred in films such as Insomnia, Patch Adams and One-Hour Photo is to re-unite with producer Barry Levinson.

The Good Will Hunting and Flubber star has worked with Levinson before on the set of Toys and Good Morning Vietnam, and the producer has notably been involved with other big movies, such as Sleepers and Donnie Brasco.

The movie will star Robin Williams as a talk-show host who decides to run for President as a stunt, but things go wrong when he actually wins his way into the Whitehouse.

The movie is set to go into production in the autumn in Toronto, with Morgan Creek (Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Young Guns, True Romance) the company ready to put up the funding.

In 2006 Robin Williams is also set to reprise his role as Mrs Doubtfire in the latest instalment of the hit comedy.
