Stiller agrees to get his feet wet

Sports based comedies appear to be flavour of the month with Hollywood chiefs at the moment.

Earlier in the week Christopher Walken (Pulp Fiction, King Of New York, Sleepy Hollow) agreed to play the villain and ping pong enthusiast, Fang, in Balls Of Fury and Will Ferrell (Old School, Elf, Anchorman) is set to take to the ice in the upcoming rink side comedy Blades Of Glory, surely not wanting to be out done Ben Stiller (Meet The Parents, Zoolander, Dodgeball) has signed up for his own sports comedy.

Stiller and production company, Red Hour, will be taking the plunge on Big Wave a surfing comedy for 20th Century Fox.

Audiences can expect to see Stiller take on the role of a has been surfer, who has to overcome the memory of spectacular wipe-out to finally get back in the sea and save the old salties at the retired surfers home.

With the directors of cult surf film Thicker Than Water also onboard for the project, Stiller will no doubt be expected to know his tail kick from his flick nose and be able to drop in to order.
