Movie news round-up

It has been announced that Paddy Considine is to join the cast of The Bourne Ultimatum, the third instalment of the spy series starring Matt Damon as amnesiac assassin Jason Bourne.

Considine, who featured in Brit flicks 24 Hour Party People and My Summer Of Love, has signed on to play a supporting role in the thriller which follows on from The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy.

In slightly more unusual news, the star of the Saw horror franchise will create a buzz for the third instalment of the series when he uses his own blood on a limited amount of promotional posters.

According to Advertising Age, Tobin Bell – who plays deranged serial killer Jigsaw – will donate his red stuff for the series, which has used previous taglines such as "oh yes, there will be blood". Saw 3 is released in the UK on October 27th 2006.

Finally, this Friday sees the release of The History Boys, the story of a group of school boys and based on Alan Bennett's play of the same name.

It will be the sixth film directed by Nicholas Hytner, who took the reins of Jennifer Aniston movie The Object of my Affection in 1998 and The Crucible in 1996, which starred Daniel Day-Lewis.
