Star turnout at The Prestige premiereTelling the story of a bitter rivalry between two magicians in the 19th century, The Prestige features Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman and Michael Caine, all of whom attended on Sunday night. Of the movie, Johansson told Empire Online: "It was very theatrical and I always love that stuff. I always have a good time but this was particularly fabulous." The film, which also stars Christian Bale, Piper Perabo and Andy Serkis, marks a return to acting for David Bowie, who plays an inventor called Nikolas Tesla. Christopher Nolan directed the film – his second project with Christian Bale after last year's Batman Begins. He also directed mind-bending thriller Memento, which sees a man with no short-term memory hunt for his girlfriend's killer. Nolan followed this with Insomnia, starring Al Pacino as a detective whose inability to sleep threatens to destroy his search for answers in a murder mystery. The director's next film is set to be The Dark Knight, a continuation of the Batman franchise. Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
