DVD rental round-up

Although the Christmas party season is approaching there are still plenty of opportunities to stay in and watch a good DVD.

And there are a number of recent releases across a range of genres and tastes, including Hollywood blockbusters Mission: Impossible III and Inside Man.

For those who prefer something a little less well-known, a film such as Junebug could fit the bill. Telling the story of a successful businessman who returns to his small-town roots, the movie features an Oscar-nominated performance by Amy Adams.

Alternatively, viewers who like horror comedies such as Shaun of the Dead may enjoy Slither, featuring Serenity star Nathan Fillion as a sheriff assigned to rid a town of flesh-eating slugs.

Documentaries have also made it to DVD via cinema screens lately, such as the recent release of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.

The film recounts the rise and subsequent collapse of one of America's biggest-ever companies featuring analysts' comments and court footage.
