ER star rumoured as Bond villain

4 stars out of 5.0
While rumours abound regarding the next James Bond film, one more was added to the mix on Thursday after a Croatian newspaper said that ER star Goran Visnjic could play the movie's villain.

According to Empire, Visnjic - known in ER as the sultry Dr Luka Kovac - may appear in the 22nd Bond instalment as the ex-boyfriend of Vesper Lynd, who featured in Casino Royale.

And without giving anything away for those still to rent Casino Royale on DVD, his role is apparently set to explain why glamorous Bond girl Vesper made certain choices in the film, which saw Daniel Craig play the eponymous spy for the first time.

Meanwhile, fans of Visnjic can also see him in a number of films available for home viewing, including episodes of ER since 1999 when he first appeared in the medical drama.

His film credits include comic book adaptation Elektra and comedy drama Practical Magic, while he also voiced Sojo in recent animated movie Ice Age.
