UK top ten stars five new entries

The UK box office saw a shake-up this week, featuring five new entries within the top ten chart.

Following on from its success in America, historical battle movie 300 took the number one spot for the week beginning March 23rd, while computer-animated TMNT debuted in second place.

Amazing Grace was the next new entry in the chart at number five, two places ahead of I Want Candy - a British comedy starring Carmen Electra as an adult film star.

Namastey London, the story of an English-Indian love affair, came in at number nine despite being shown on just 42 screens, pushing Ghost Rider - which has now been in the chart for four weeks - into number ten.

The longest-running film in the ACNielsen EDI chart remains Hot Fuzz, which is currently residing in sixth place after having been released six weeks ago.
