The real OC moves to a new town

If you are already missing the sight of Seth, Summer and Ryan spending their parents' money in The OC then fear not, because a real-life version is now available on DVD.

Following four seasons of the popular California drama, it might be time to crack open a Laguna Beach boxset - for this show is actually titled "the real Orange County" and is a fascinating peek into the lives of wealthy teenagers whose biggest worries are what to wear to the prom.

Laguna Beach, which was created by MTV, focuses on a group of high schoolers in a sunkissed and affluent town, and is reported to be where the fictional OC was based on.

However, it may be a case of watch it while you can, because MTV announced this week that after three series of Laguna Beach it is now moving down the coast to focus on Newport Beach, where more adolescent drama and convertible cars are sure to be found.

The first season of Laguna Beach is currently out to rent, as are all four series of The OC.
