Batman pics previewed online

Fans of the rejuvenated Batman franchise may want to sneak a peek at a new batch of film stills which have hit the internet.

Following the success of Batman Begins, which starred Christian Bale as the man in black, filming on the next instalment is currently taking place in the US and features Heath Ledger and Maggie Gyllenhaal to name but two.

Those wanting to see some preview images of The Dark Knight can now see them online, with some rather creepy shots of The Joker (played by Ledger) included. While one shows his frighteningly clownish face, the Other sees him in full villainous get-up, complete with purple suit.

Other shots include the batmobile and new batpod, with quite a few centring on Christian Bale and Michael Caine, who plays his loyal butler Alfred.

The film is scheduled for release in the UK next July.
