Justin Timberlake joins The Love Guru

Chart-topping smooth mover Justin Timberlake is to star in a new movie with Mike Myers and Jessica Alba, it has been confirmed.

The singer, who regularly wows audiences with his music, is set to continue his acting career in The Love Guru, a comedy about a man raised by spiritual leaders who journeys to America and becomes a relationship therapist.

Myers, who will play the guru, attempts to help a professional hockey player sort out his marriage. Timberlake is to star as a team-mate named Jacques Grande, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The singer, who recently split from Cameron Diaz, is rumoured to be dating Stealth and The Illusionist actress Jessica Biel.

Timberlake can currently be seen - or heard - in cinemas as the voice of Artie in animated comedy Shrek The Third. He has also previously starred in Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan and Edison.
