Guy Ritchie 'to remake Dirty Dozen'According to the Guardian, Snatch director Ritchie is to have a go at remaking the World War Two action movie. The original 1967 film was based on a novel by EM Nathanson and starred Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine, Telly Savalas, Charles Bronson and Jim Brown. While the Guardian does not provide details on which actors are starring in the remake it quips "if the rumours of Ritchie's involvement are true, you just know Vinnie Jones is going to be in there somewhere - and possibly Madonna in the Charles Bronson role". Guy Ritchie has had a mixed CV in the directing stakes, with films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels receiving global praise. Follow-up Snatch was received in a similar fashion thanks to performances from Brad Pitt and Benicio Del Toro. Ritchies remake of 60s hit film Swept Away starring wife Madonna was panned by critics as a flop though. Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
