Xzibit to star in new Oliver Stone movie

Rapper and television presenter Xzibit is to join the cast of Pinkville, a new movie from Oliver Stone.

The film also stars Bruce Willis and Woody Harrelson, and concentrates on the My Lai Massacre of 1968, when over 500 people were killed by American soldiers, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Pinkville will star Xzibit as a soldier who stands by his decision to follow orders.

The singer-actor was previously the presenter of Pimp My Ride - the show which took battered cars and transformed them into amazing gadget-laden automobiles.

Aside from his music and TV career, he has also featured in movies such as Gridiron Gang, XXX: State of The Union and Derailed.

Oliver Stone's most recent film was World Trade Center in 2006, which focused on September 11th 2001 and fall of the Twin Towers in New York.

Prior to this was action epic Alexander in 2004.
