On the set of Quantum of Solace

Now fans know the actual title of the 22nd James Bond film - Quantum Of Solace - the Guardian visited sets at Pinewood Studios to see what titbits it could learn about the next instalment of the series.

According to the newspaper, Quantum of Solace will pick up events one hour after the end of Casino Royale - making it a sequel of sorts but also a story in its own right.

Viewers will remember the conclusion of Casino Royale, where Bond discovered he had been deceived by lover Vesper Lynd after watching her drown in a submerged elevator.

However, the forthcoming film is expected to have double the action and even more women, including St Trinian's star Gemma Arterton as a feisty MI6 agent and Olga Kurylenko as the mysterious seductress Camille.

The Guardian also described the sets currently assembled at Pinewood, featuring an art gallery, various scenes in Siena and an MI6 safehouse underground.

Meanwhile, James Bond himself - actor Daniel Craig - explained to Reuters what he takes from the newly-announced title of the film.

"At the end of the last movie his heart's been broken and he doesn't have that quantum of solace, he doesn't have that ... closure on what happened in his life and he needs to find out," he said.
