Fantastic Four line-up announced

Following weeks of speculation the major actors have been announced for the forthcoming comic adaptation of "The Fantastic Four".

Once more Fox have kept away from big-names in the film about astronauts transformed into super-beings.

Mr Fantastic will be played by Welsh actor, Ioan Gruffudd - most famous in the UK for his role as Horatio Hornblower.

The super-strong Thing will be played by Michael Chiklis, who plays bald cop Vic Macklin in "The Shield".

Chris Evans will play The Human Torch, a young unknown who plays the lead in "Cellular", not the flame-haired husband of Billie Piper.

So far Dr Doom has not been cast and neither has Sue Storm or The Invisible Woman

Filming will is set to begin soon Vancouver - aimed at a summer 2005 release.
