New Terminator film sets judgement dayThe BBC says the film, which stars Christian Bale of Batman Begins and American Psycho, will hit British cinema screens on May 22nd 2009. McG, who directed the high-octane adaptations of Charlie's Angels, is behind the camera for the film, which the corporation reports could be the first of a new Terminator trilogy. Production is expected to get underway on the film, which also starts Australian actor Sam Worthington, in May with the biggest shoot ever seen in the US state of New Mexico. According to the Beeb, McG said he had chosen the arid desert state as the backdrop because "the landscape plays a critical role" in the new film. The plot Terminator Salvation is closely guarded, although Empire of the Sun and 3:10 To Yuma star Bale is already confirmed as head good guy John Connor. Josh Brolin, last seen running into trouble in No Country For Old Men, is also rumoured to be joining the cast, the Internet Movie Database says.
