Wilson goes back to school for Tenure

4 stars out of 5.0
He was a former child genius in The Royal Tenenbaums and an overgrown frat boy in Old School - now Luke Wilson is reportedly set to star as a professor in the new comedy Tenure.

Showbiz paper Variety reports that Wilson, whose previous credits also include Charlie's Angels, My Super Ex-Girlfriend and 3:10 To Yuma, will take up the role alongside David Koechner of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and the US adaptation of The Office.

Tenure tells the story of a beleaguered university prof who must compete with a bright female colleague for a place on the teaching staff.

Mike Million, who wrote the film, will also take up directorial duties.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in Philadelphia in April.

In family Wilson-related news, Luke's brother Owen fresh from his performance in Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited, is set to appear on UK cinemas soon in comedy Drillbit Taylor, which gets its release on March 28th.
