New X-Files movie - the name is out thereThe tinseltown newshounds at Variety say Twentieth Century Fox has revealed that the new flick, which comes ten years after the first big screen adaptation of the hit TV series, will be called The X Files: I Want To Believe. Sci-fi dream team David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have both been recruited to reprise their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, while the TV show's creator Chris Carter will call the shots behind the camera. In the finest traditions of the show, much of the project remains top secret. The newspaper says Carter has not discussed storylines, although he has revealed that the new film will not focus on extra terrestrials as much of the TV series did. Instead, sci-fi fans can expect a story looking at the "struggle between faith and science", it adds. Amanda Peet (Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip), Adam Godley (Elizabeth: The Golden Age) and Billy Connolly (yes, that Billy Connolly) are also on board for the mysterious goings-on. The X-Files: I Want To Believe is slated to hit UK cinema screens on August 1st. Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
