Thurman looking forward to Motherhood

Pulp Fiction star Uma Thurman is to take the lead in upcoming indie comedy Motherhood, according to industry whispers.

Showbiz bible Variety says Thurman, who also appeared in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill double-header, will be joined by Grosse Pointe Blank star Minnie Driver and ER veteran Anthony Edwards in the film, which starts shooting in May.

The movie follows a day in the life of Thurman's character, a stressed-out mother-of-two trying to hold it together while organising her daughter's sixth birthday party.

Driver, whose previous credits include Hard Rain, Delirious and An Ideal Husband, will play her best friend.

Meanwhile Edwards, a familiar face to fans of Northern Exposure, Zodiac and 1980s action classic Top Gun, will take on the role of Thurman's husband.

Most recently, Uma has appeared alongside Luke Wilson and Eddie Izzard - Driver's co-star in TV series The Riches - in My Super Ex-Girlfriend, as well as starring with Colin Firth and Jeffery Dean Morgan in The Accidental Husband.
