Ford appears at Cannes premiereHe and co-stars Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone and Shia LeBoeuf delighted thousands of fans on the day of the world premiere of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. It is the fourth film in the Indy series, and arrives almost 20 years after the third film, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, appeared in cinemas. Director Steven Speilberg told the BBC: "This was something that the public really asked me and Harrison and George Lucas, 'When's Indiana Jones coming back?'." The new film gets a worldwide release on Thursday and sees the intrepid Dr Jones taking on Soviets instead of Nazis as he hunts for the Crystal Skull of Akator in Peru. Mr Speilberg has also been quoted as saying film fans could be treated to a fifth Indy film if the new offering goes down well with modern audiences.
