Michel Gondry 'to direct the Green Hornet'Best known for directing Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Gondry replaces Stephen Chow behind the camera. Chow will remain in his role as the eponymous hero's sidekick, Kato, starring alongside Seth Rogen, who is most famous for roles in Anchorman, the 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up. Sources report that Sony's production executives were won over by Gondry's pitch. Variety magazine describes the move as bringing "an unusual sensibility" to the production, which it says will be "the most overtly-commercial film of his career". It states that the project was originally a radio production in the 1930s, reaching the mainstream through a TV adaptation in the 1960s. Last month, it was rumoured that Adam Sandler could be making a cameo appearance in the film. Best known for his roles in Little Nicky, Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy, Sandler could be appearing as another superhero in the flick.
