Will Ferrell 'to star in B Team'

Will Ferrell is set to return to the big screen in new comedy B Team, it has been announced.

Directed by Adam McKay - best known for being behind the camera for cult comedy Anchorman - the movie will see the legend teaming up with Mark Wahlberg.

Recently starring in Max Payne, Wahlberg will return to a related role as one half of a cop team with the Step Brothers star.

Chris Henchy is set to write the script, following his practise in this area on the Last Janitor and Land Of The Lost.

Empire magazine states that Ferrell and McKay work well together and are a "wonderful team".

"Ferrell and Wahlberg as cops? Quite possibly idiot cops, out of their depth and in over their heads? Sold. Bring it on," it claims.

The Old School-leading man is currently involved in a Broadway run of You're Welcome America, a satire on former president George W Bush.
