Durst plans Psycho Killer film

Rocker-turned-director Fred Durst is set to follow up his acclaimed drama The Education Of Charlie Banks with a horror movie.

The Limp Bizkit frontman was widely lauded for his work on the independent picture, starring Jason Ritter and Susan Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri, even winning the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival's Made in NY Narrative Award, which recognises the best narrative film made in New York.

But the star is now set to explore even darker cinematic themes - with a horror movie about a psychotic murderer.

He tells the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "My next film is called Psycho Killer about a serial killer on a mission.

"I love the title. But it's not a throwaway, quick-fix slasher film - it's like a Silence Of The Lambs."
