Time to catch The Perfect Catch

The directors of Dumb & Dumber, There's Something About Mary and Shallow Hal are back with their latest offering, as The Perfect Catch comes to UK cinemas.

The Farrelly brothers have turned their attention to an American version of the football film Fever Pitch, which starred Colin Firth and Ruth Gemmell, and was based on the Nick Hornby novel.

In The Perfect Catch, the sport in question is baseball, and it tells the story of Boston Red Sox fanatic Ben, played by Jimmy Fallon.

He falls for a high-flying workaholic, Lindsey, played by Drew Barrymore, but their romance runs into trouble due to his obsession for his favourite team.

Fallon has previously appeared in Almost Famous with Kate Hudson and Woody Allen's Anything Else, having made a name for himself on comedy show Saturday Night Live.

For Barrymore, it represents another in a long list of romantic comedies such as 50 First Dates, Never Been Kissed and The Wedding Singer.
