Batman Bale caught snoozing

Batman star Christian Bale ruined his first ever scene as the caped superhero by falling asleep on set.

The actor claims he never suffers nerves on set, and is so calm during movie shoots, he's often snoozing when the cameras roll.

Bale tells GQ magazine, "I fall asleep on sets all the time. I've done it in the middle of scenes. In Batman Begins, in the first scene I had with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, I fell asleep. I was meant to be waking up, so I laid down and just fell asleep.

"I didn't hear 'action' so Michael and Morgan were talking and I was supposed to join in. I woke up with Michael Caine poking me in the ribs, going, 'Look at that! He's bloody fallen asleep.'"
