DiCaprio takes a gamble on poker movie
Leonardo DiCaprio is bringing his love of poker to the big screen as he explores the murky world of online gambling in a new movie. The star has earned the respect of the world's top players after participating in high-stakes poker tournaments with friend and fellow actor Tobey Maguire over the years. And now the Hollywood card shark has landed a new script about Costa Rica-based Internet casinos, written by Ocean's Thirteen screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The duo behind the as-yet-unnamed film also penned the script for 1998's Rounders, which saw Edward Norton and Matt Damon star as underground poker players.
