Sin City now out on DVD

One of the year's biggest films makes its way on to DVD today, with the UK release of Frank Miller's Sin City.

The film wowed cinemagoers earlier this year with its impressive black and white visual effects and an all-star cast.

The film was directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, and also features Quentin Tarantino as a special guest director.

The lead roles in the movie are taken by Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Benicio del Toro, Brittany Murphy, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, Michael Madsen and Bruce Willis.

Even in between its run at the box office and its arrival on DVD shelves, the film has still been making the headlines, though not necessarily for the right reasons.

Just last week, an advertisement for the film was banned by the Advertising Standards Authority for being unsuitable for children.

The interactive film advert, which was being used in bus shelters, was considered to condone violence and likely to cause offence.
