Stars sign up for Ice Age 2

Several more Hollywood stars have confirmed that they will lend their voices to next year's animation Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.

The film is a sequel to 2002's successful Ice Age, and Seann William Scott, who has become a household name thanks to comedies such as American Pie, The Dukes Of Hazzard and Road Trip, will feature.

He is joined by Taxi star Queen Latifah, Mean Creek actor Josh Peck and talkshow host Jay Leno.

The main trio of characters from the original film also return for more amusing antics.

Ray Romano, star of TV hit Everybody Loves Raymond, reprises his role of Manfred, Land Of The Dead actor John Leguizamo voices Sid, and Denis Leary once again plays Diego.

Ice Age 2 will be directed by Carlos Saldanha, who co-directed the first Ice Age movie and another animation, Robots.

The screenplay has been penned by Jon Vitti, who has previously written episodes of The Simpsons and King Of The Hill.
