Star Wars pair to join forces

Samuel L Jackson and Hayden Christensen are to work together again in a new crime thriller.

The duo, who appeared in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of The Clones and Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge Of The Sith, will now be in Poker Night, to be directed by Nick Gillard, one of the Star Wars stunt coordinators.

Christensen is reportedly trying to build on the success of starring in George Lucas' films and avoid the fate of previous Star Wars star Mark Hamill who failed to find much work after he took the role of Luke Skywalker.

Alongside Jackson, he will play a detective kidnapped by a serial killer.

Jedi star Christensen will be trying to break out of typecast by appearing in The Decameron: Angels & Virgins, directed by David Leland (Land Girls, Wish You Were Here), which is based on a book by 14th century author Giovanni Boccaccio.

He is also to be in Awake, about a man who wakes during a heart operation, alongside Fantastic Four and Sin City star Jessica Alba and Swedish actress Lena Olin.
