Quaid joins stars on Walk of Fame

Actor Dennis Quaid, best known for his roles in The Big Easy and Far From Heaven, is the latest person to receive a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 51-year-old, who has also appeared in The Parent Trap and Wyatt Earp, has enjoyed a long career in the film industry, appearing in more than 40 films over 30 years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Quaid quipped: "I remember when this town was a beanfield. I've been here 125 years. I started with Charlie Chaplin."

Quaid, who used to be married to Meg Ryan, has recently been seen in films such as Flight Of The Phoenix, In Good Company and The Day After Tomorrow.

He will soon be seen alongside Rene Russo in a new movie, Yours, Mine And Ours, which is a remake of the 1968 comedy with Henry Fonda.
